Dale held faculty positions at the University of North Dakota and Oklahoma State University, retiring from OSU after 30 years of service there and 40 years in higher education. When he and Jody came to CTK, they were impressed by the outstanding teaching, genuine worship, deep fellowship, and biblically based leadership. Fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ -no matter the context, is one of his favorite parts of serving. They also find encouragement and inspiration from the testimonies of our families.

Dale is married to Jody Newman. Their son, Jason, passed away unexpectedly at age 33 leaving behind their daughter-in-law and twin grandchildren. They have two dogs, Gracie and Walter, that are an integral part of their life. Also part of the family is Basil, a feral cat they adopted who lived with them 11 years and taught them many lessons about loving outside the box. When not with his family, you just might find Dale doing strength training or at the gun range.
